UL picked up their third Fitzgibbon Cup in four years this afternoon as they outplayed DCU.

The Limerick side stopped DCU from achieving the double by winning today's hurling final at the Connacht GAA Centre of Excellence.

Tipperary's Gearóid O’Connor scored 0-10 as UL ran out 0-23 to 1-15 winners.

Brian Ryan's side used their physicality and skill to outmanoeuvre DCU.

Adam English, Jack Leahy and Seán O‘Hanlon all scored 0-2.

For DCU, Denis Walsh scored 0-8, 0-7 coming from frees.

UL hit eight first-half wides, but they were transformed after the break as they dominated the game.
