Emer O'Callaghan: Why I always wear a scarf on a flight

Emer O'Callaghan on a recent flight wearing a top from Dunnes Stores and cashmere scarf was a gift. Emer's make-up is Master Colors Paris available from Emerald Beauty Clinic
When we fly, we are in a false air environment and air conditioning is circulating false air and germs all over the plane.
This dries out your skin so badly that we now know that one short flight alone, even one hour in a plane, will, dehydrate the most hydrated of skins.
Even a fresh, juicy lemon, when cut open and left on a flight, will be dried up and hard by the end of it.
I always wear a scarf flying, I find it has multiple uses; it can be like a warm blanket if you get cold, or you can wrap it around your neck and pull it up around your mouth and nose if there is someone sick coughing or sneezing near you.
A scarf will shield your face from the internal elements your skin is being exposed to on a flight.
It is not always possible, I know, but if you can fly make-up free as well, you should.
Always drink plenty of water, and do a face mask to rehydrate your skin after the flight.
