Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following a serious road traffic collision on the N11 in Cabinteely on Thursday.

Gardaí and emergency services were alerted to a collision involving a car and e-bike on the N11 at the junction with Johnstown Road shortly before 5pm.

The cyclist, a man aged in his 20s, was seriously injured. He was conveyed by ambulance to Beaumont Hospital, Dublin, where his condition is understood to be serious.

The scene is preserved for a technical examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators and traffic diversions are in place.

Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to come forward.

Any road s who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling in the area at the time are asked to make this footage available to investigating Gardaí.
