A man in his 20s has died following a single-vehicle collision in Dublin on Wednesday.

The incident occurred shortly after 2pm on the Old North Road in Finglas.

The motorcyclist, a man aged in his 20s, was fatally injured.

The local coroner has been notified, and arrangements will be made for a post-mortem examination.

The road has re-opened following an examination of the scene by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators.

Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to come forward.

Any road s who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling in the area at the time are asked to make this footage available to investigating gardaí.
