Motorcyclist (30s) dies in single-vehicle crash in Wicklow

A man has died in a single-vehicle crash in Co Wicklow.

The incident happened on the R756 at Turlough Hill in the Wicklow Gap shortly before 10pm on Thursday.

A motorcyclist, a man aged in his 30s, was pronounced dead at the scene.

His body has since been removed from the crash site and a post-mortem examination will be carried out in due course.

The road at Turlough Hill remains closed with local diversions in place while a technical examination is carried out on Friday.

Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses, including road s with dash-cam footage, to come forward.
