StudioWolfe – Motown Celebration, Cork Opera House, 5pm: A showcase for the talents of the StudioWolfe students, from adorable preschoolers to outstanding teenagers. Tickets €26.

Making History by Brian Friel, The Everyman, 7.30pm: A tale of Gaelic Ireland on the brink of extinction under English occupation. Tickets €20.

The Cure by Conal Creedon, Cork Arts Theatre, 8pm: It’s a sleepy Saturday mornin’ in Cork, a man stands on Half Moon Street and the hangover fear is starting to dawn. Tickets €18.

Eddie Lenihan, Coughlan’s Bar, Douglas Street, 8pm: The beloved Irish author, storyteller and broadcaster is back at Coughlan’s. Tickets €15.

Mundy, with special guest Molly O’Mahony, Briery Gap, 8pm: Acoustic, folk-based pop/rock artist Mundy comes to Macroom. Tickets €26.

Cork Philharmonic Winds - with guest conductor Fergal Carroll, MTU Cork School of Music, 7.30pm: A diverse programme of wind ensemble music: from Ticheli’s dramatic Angels in the Architecture, to the layered, slow-burning acaglia by Ron Nelson. Tickets €15.

The 4 Of Us, Live at St Luke’s, 8pm: The iconic Irish rock band has been a significant presence in the music scene since the late 1980s. Tickets €30.

The Tumbling Paddies, The Hiland, Newmarket, 10pm: Rapidly becoming one of Ireland’s most popular entertainment acts, trad band The Tumbling Paddies have grown from strength to strength in the past two years. Tickets €20.

One Direction and friends Club Night, Cyprus Avenue, 11pm: Get ready to relive your fangirl dreams, in the ultimate celebration of all things One Direction. Tickets €11.

The Velvetones, The Welcome Inn, 8pm: Tony and Audrey are a long-established act, with classic songs in acoustic style the order of the day.

Making Waves for Jo, Cuskinny beach, 6pm: Fundraiser in memory of Jo English, a remarkable woman, who died from pancreatic cancer in 2024.
