Three time All-Ireland camogie winner s Cork City FC

All-Ireland winner Lauren Homan has swapped codes; with the camogie star moving to Cork City FC for the 2025 Women's Premier Division season.
This will be her second stint with the Rebel Army, 10 years on from when she first ed the club after a spell locally with Lakewood Athletic.
Homan goes to Turner’s Cross after captaining Cork to an All-Ireland Intermediate Camogie Championship victory last year.
That medal ed two senior titles, won in 2017 and 2018, in a collection belonging to the Brian Dillons’ club stalwart.
Homan s Cork City on the back of a successful season that also saw the code breaker lead her county to victory in the Division 2B league final at Abbottstown.
The captain led by example, with 3-35 scored on the way to Dublin, where she picked up Player of the Match after tallying nine points against a spirited Tipperary side.
This transfer further builds links between Cork City and the GAA, a connection that includes current Republic of Ireland international Saoirse Noonan.
The striker, who is top scorer this season with Celtic in the Scottish Women’s Premier League, came close to winning a Celtic Cross in 2018 and 2020.
Cork camogie legend Amy O’Connor never played in the Women’s National League, despite being an underage Ireland international, as she chose camogie.
Homan's move is one of many announced by the club in the build-up to the opening game of the season against Peamount United in Greenogue.
Frank Kelleher has brought back the majority of the team from the 2024 season, including Eva Mangan. The midfielder was linked with a host of clubs in England, she even went on trial with Liverpool, but she opted to stay with her local club.
The coaching staff have also brought back Fiana Bradley after two seasons on the road with Treaty United and Waterford FC.
The forward broke through during the 2023 season and she scored the goal that put City through to the semi-finals of the Avenir Sports All-Island Cup against Crusaders at Seaview in Belfast.
Dorothea Greulich will also be back at Turner’s Cross this season, with the German best known for a dramatic hitting a dramatic late winner into the St Anne’s End from distance during a televised game with Bohemians.
Ireland underage international Keira Sena has put pen to paper on a new deal with the club, after lining out as a forward and defender last season.
Goalkeeper Una Foyle, Coleen Kenedy O’Connell, Niamh Cotter, and Heidi Mackin have also been confirmed to have a place in Kelleher’s squad.
Defensive duo Ciara McNamara and Shaunagh McCarthy were confirmed as part of Kelleher’s plans earlier this year.
