A vehicle described as "defective" and found to be running on green diesel has been seized by gardaí in Cork. 

Bandon Road Policing Unit stopped the heavy goods vehicle (HGV), discovering "numerous defects" and running on green diesel, fuel designed for off-road use.

In a post on social media about the incident, gardaí confirmed that the vehicle was seized.
