Cork trio Greenshine  will be making their debut in the newly refurbished and recently re-opened Briery Gap Theatre in Macroom in January.

Fans of folk music with a slight tang of the blues are in for a treat at Macroom’s newly refurbished and recently re-opened Briery Gap Theatre, which will host Greenshine at the venue at the end of the month.

Noel Shine, Mary Greene and their daughter Ellie will be headlining their first concert at the €10m venue on Main Street on January 25.

The family trio, which is based in the Múscraí Gaeltacht, appear at the Macroom theatre on the back of a year of highlights during 2024 including extensive airplay for the band’s latest single, There Stands The Glass, on radio stations across the country.

Their material is described as straddling ‘the boundaries of contemporary, folk and roots and includes many self-penned songs’ and their music has been covered by several leading Irish artists as well as featuring on movie soundtracks.

“We are so excited to announce that Greenshine will play our biggest headliner to date when we grace the stage of the new Briery Gap theatre in Macroom on January 25,” said Mary Greene. “It’s such an honour.”
