"Why is your hurley bigger than mine?" and "What do you eat before a match?" were just some of the questions asked of Cork senior hurling goalkeeper Patrick Collins on a visit to Bandon GAA Cúl Camp this afternoon.

Dozens of children circled the keeper as he was asked how long he has been playing hurling - since about their age, he told them - while others told him about their holidays.

The children learned that he trains five days per week, and that he eats chicken and pasta before a match.

Collins was asked what age he was, to which some of he children guessed 21, and another suggested 45.

Some future hurling superstars in the making.
